Privacy Policy

The Forge Foundry (“we”, “us”) makes Blender add-ons and runs theforgefoundry.in. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and deliver the tools you ask for. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what that means.

The short version: we don't sell your data, we don't run ad trackers, and we don't set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only personal data we ever receive is an email address you choose to give us, and it's handled by Gumroad, not stored on our own servers.

1. What we collect

Your email address — only if you submit it. The “Get updates” form on the home page is a Gumroad follow form. If you enter your email and submit it, that email goes to Gumroad so we can send you occasional product and update announcements. We do not store your email on our own infrastructure.
Anonymous, aggregate usage statistics. We may use Umami, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool, to count page views and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across other websites. Data is aggregated and cannot be used to identify you.
Standard server logs. Our host, Netlify, automatically records basic request information (such as IP address and browser type) to serve the site securely and defend against abuse. This is standard for any website.

2. What we do not collect

No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
No selling, renting, or trading of your data — ever.
No collection of payment card details on this site. Purchases are handled entirely by Gumroad on their own checkout, under their privacy policy.

3. How we use your email

If you subscribe, we use your email only to send new-tool announcements, update notices, and occasional workflow tips. Every message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. We never use it for anything else.

4. Third-party services

We rely on a few reputable providers to run the business. Each has its own privacy policy:

Gumroad — checkout, product delivery, and the email follow form (gumroad.com/privacy).
Netlify — website hosting and content delivery (netlify.com/privacy).
Umami — cookieless, privacy-first analytics (umami.is/privacy).

5. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you (in practice, that's your subscription email). To do so, or to unsubscribe, email support@theforgefoundry.in and we'll act on it promptly.

6. Data retention

We keep your subscription email only for as long as you stay subscribed. Once you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, it's removed from our Gumroad audience.

7. Children

This site and our products are intended for a general, professional audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here.
